INSTAGRAM’S THREADS SURPASSES 100 MILLION USERS IN 5 DAYS

“To put that in context, it took Instagram 2 and a half years to reach the same milestone, while TikTok accomplished the feat in 9 months. Even ChatGPT, which previously held the record for the fastest downloaded app, took 2 months to reach 100 million users.” – Chartr

iOS AND MAC UPDATES WILL REMOVE UTM PARAMETERS

“Link Tracking Protection is a new feature automatically activated in Mail, Messages, and Safari” with the iOS 17 and Mac Sonoma updates. The feature removes UTM parameters. Safari will only do this while in Private Browsing mode.

Apple will enable their Private Click Measurement ad attribution for links, which tracks as campaign conversions but not individuals.

iOS 17 public beta is set to open up pretty much any day.

NEW FEATURE PLACES ADS NEAR MEDIA PLAYING POPULAR GEN Z SONGS

The Gen Z Music lineup identifies songs that gen z are into. You can purchase the lineup and “ensure that [your] brand shows up near media that uses the music this cohort has on repeat.”

YOUTUBE IS TESTING HYPERLINKING KEYWORDS IN COMMENTS

YouTube is choosing which words to link based on what they think people want to explore further. The links bring people to a YouTube results page, while playing the original video in miniplayer.

    Like Trent says in his post, many of us are curious to see how Google treats content when we use AI to write it.

    Turns out you can get traffic and rankings. And more than I would have guessed.
